We toil through our daily lives, the endless slog of birth, school, work, death, only rarely getting a look at the beauty that lies beyond our day-to-day. We see these wonders, and they seem almost too perfect to be true: A sunset reflecting off the water. A child’s carefree laugh. And this, the most magical of all–an NCAA football playoff bracket:

That work of art there is the product of Yahoo!’s Dan Wetzel, who meticulously breaks down not only how well this would work, but also eviscerates all realistic opposition to such a playoff system. Were the world a just place, we’d be filling out our brackets Sunday night. As it is, all we’ll get to do is bitch. And the sunset won’t be nearly as beautiful.
