SEC Fans Don’t Handle Breakups Well
By Jay Busbee | November 27, 2007
Breakups are part of the natural order of life, as much a part of high school as acne, first kisses, and dumping pigs’ blood on anybody different from you. Unfortunately–cheap joke alert–too many SEC fans apparently didn’t finish high school, because damn, they don’t take rejection well. You don’t put out, and you’re liable to get the old Joe-Pesci-shovel-smack-in-the-trunk routine from Goodfellas.* Case in point: Arkansas ex-coach Houston Nutt, who didn’t exactly inspire flights of lyric fantasy in his fans:
Of course, the guy Nutt’s replacing at Ole Miss is the inimitable Bizarro lookalike Ed Orgeron, forever immortalized in this touching tribute, “Colonel Reb Is Crying (Hyunh Hyunh Football)”:

*-I just saw a Spongebob Squarepants episode that referenced this scene. Cartoons today rule.
