Link-Fu: VT, Pioneers, MJ, And Table Hockey

By Jay Busbee | April 17, 2007

vt07.JPGSome of the more interesting hoo-hah wandering around the sports blogosphere…

–Eric over at The Extrapolater has an eloquent post on how, in the wake of the Virginia Tech tragedy, we’re all Hokies. (The graphic is adapted from his site.)

–We’re ashamed to admit that we initially thought this was a joke in the vein of Michael Jordan playing the first black Globetrotter back on Saturday Night Live, but The Serious Tip has a great piece on some of baseball’s other African-American pioneers.

–Speaking of Jordan, Sportable makes YouTube its bitch, breaking down the top 10 Michael Jordan commercials. (Wire fans: look for the bonus Namond cameo in #9.) We were going to say the slow-mo dunk over the Lakers while the world watches should be #1, but we’d forgotten about what Sportable deems #1…and we agree with their choice.

–Our Book of Scrap lets us in on the table hockey phenomenon…and won’t let us back out again.
