Fade in on a Miami Beach scene. A pasty-skinned man stretches out on the sand, iPod headphones in ears, not a care in the world.
Enter DETECTIVES HORATIO AND FRANK.
Horatio removes his sunglasses. “What do we have, Frank?”
“Blogger, Horatio.”
Horatio puts his glasses back on. “Blogger? Isn’t that one of those sickos who enjoys illicit relations with men in furry costumes?”
“Uh…no, Horatio. This guy’s a writer.”
Horatio takes off his sunglasses. “Writer, eh? Doesn’t look like Hemingway to me.”
“There’s, ah, there’s more than one writer in the world, Horatio.”
Horatio pulls another pair of sunglasses from his jacket. “Indeed there is, Frank. Indeed. There. Is.”
“Uh…right. Anyway, this guy’s supposed to be here watching his wife run the Miami Half-Marathon this weekend.”
Horatio puts on two pairs of sunglasses at once. “But Frank…the half-marathon is ten miles from here.”
“That’s…that’s kind of the point, Horatio. This guy’s not cheering his wife. He’s just sitting here soaking up rays.”
Horatio peels off both pairs of sunglasses with a flourish.
“Frank, she may be running a half-marathon…but he’s in a whole lot of trouble.”
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
